The Ragamuffins are an effervescent little outfit that deliver lyrical wit in spades and pack enough infectious melody to sink small battleships. The band’s musical philosophy has always revolved around trying to make the biggest, warmest and most engaging pop records they possibly could and they’ve soaked up and fused elements of Northern Soul, New Wave, British Invasion and even Punk to do this.
The initial waves of brand new material they’ve unfurled recently has given the band support and airplay from BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music and they’ve supported the likes of The Beat, Ian Prowse & Amsterdam, Dodgy, and even legendary Stax/Booker T & The MG’s guitarist Steve Cropper this past year.
Expect vocal melodies that soar high above swirling organs, soulful brass, chiming guitar, driving bass and heart pounding drums to deliver perfectly packaged, virtually irresistible indie pop songs.”
“The Ragamuffins are clearly a storming live band. Playing and singing as tight and sharp as this comes only from plentiful rehearsal and long months of gigging.” – Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music/Fresh On The Net

“ Channelling a fighting spirit, The Ragamuffins are a group hug of smarts and soul” – Lauren Jones, The Music Manual/Get Into This
